WALK WITH FAITH IN YOUR HEART

GOOD MORNING FAITHFULS!!  HERE IS A NICE REFLECTION FOR US TO RENEW OUR FAITH IN HIM.

I love this line from the song Walk with faith in your heart.

Walk with faith in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
For the faith in your heart
The world is yours to own
You never will grieve
if in Him you believe
And walk with faith in your heart

Let us walk with FAITH in our HEARTS today.  and as always have FAITH IN HIM

Here is our verse for today.

2 Corinthians 5:7 states:

"For we live by faith, not by sight."

Reflection

This verse from 2 Corinthians encapsulates a core principle of the Christian life. It calls believers to trust in God's promises and guidance, even when they cannot see the full picture. Living by faith involves relying on God's wisdom, provision, and timing, rather than solely on our own understanding or visible circumstances.

Living by Faith

"For we live by faith": Faith is the foundation of the Christian journey. It is trust in God and His promises, even when there is no tangible evidence. Living by faith means making decisions and taking actions based on the belief that God is sovereign, good, and faithful. It is a daily commitment to trust God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

Not by Sight

"Not by sight": Sight represents our natural understanding and the visible, tangible world around us. Relying solely on sight means making decisions based on what we can see, understand, or control. However, this verse challenges believers to go beyond what is visible and trust in the unseen realities of God’s kingdom. It is a call to walk by faith, trusting in God's unseen hand at work in our lives.

Interpretation

  1. Trust Beyond Understanding: The verse encourages believers to trust God even when they don’t fully understand His plans or cannot see the outcome. Faith involves trusting God’s character and His promises, believing that He is working all things for good.
  2. Spiritual Perspective: Living by faith requires a spiritual perspective. It means looking beyond the physical and material aspects of life and focusing on the spiritual truths revealed in Scripture. This perspective helps believers to navigate challenges and uncertainties with hope and confidence.
  3. Dependence on God: Faith signifies a dependence on God rather than self-reliance. It is an acknowledgment that we need God’s guidance, strength, and provision in every aspect of our lives. This dependence fosters a deeper relationship with God and cultivates spiritual growth.

Personal Application

On a personal level, 2 Corinthians 5:7 invites believers to examine how they can live more by faith and less by sight. Practical applications might include:

Trusting God’s Promises: Familiarize yourself with God’s promises in the Bible and hold on to them during difficult times. Remind yourself of His faithfulness and trust that He will fulfill His promises in His perfect timing.

Prayerful Dependence: Cultivate a habit of prayer, seeking God’s guidance and relying on His wisdom in decision-making. Trust that He will direct your path, even when the way forward is unclear.

Focusing on the Eternal: Shift your focus from temporary, visible circumstances to the eternal truths of God’s kingdom. Remind yourself that your ultimate hope and home are in heaven, and let this perspective shape your daily life.

Stepping Out in Faith: Take steps of faith in obedience to God’s leading, even when you cannot see the entire path. Whether it’s making a difficult decision, pursuing a calling, or serving others, trust that God will provide and guide you as you move forward in faith.

Believers can ask themselves: In what areas of my life do I need to trust God more fully? How can I shift my focus from the visible to the spiritual? What steps of faith is God calling me to take?

Conclusion

2 Corinthians 5:7 challenges believers to live by faith and not by sight. It calls for a trust in God that goes beyond our understanding and visible circumstances. By relying on God’s promises, cultivating prayerful dependence, focusing on eternal truths, and stepping out in faith, believers can navigate life with confidence and hope. This verse serves as a reminder that true Christian living involves a deep, abiding trust in the unseen yet faithful God who guides and sustains His people.
